J.H. — Youth, Administration & Associate Pastor

My passion is with youth and education. I would love an opportunity to be involved with youth or young men within the church. But further, I want to teach in some aspect (i.e. preach or lead small group). In addition, I want to learn the administrative side of church. My long-term goal is to run my own non-profit providing the practical needs for people. With this dream, it would be beneficial if I understood the administrative aspects of church.

I would need housing and transportation to be provided. I would prefer a paid internship but I do not need to be paid. Spiritually I will need support wherever I am sent. In the past, I have become depleted and spent after my internship because I was not being fed. I need to be a part of a small group where I am receiving and strengthening myself in Christ.

I will graduate with my Associates degree in General Studies in April. I am going to be pursuing my Bachelors in Leadership and Ministry from Life Pacific College. Farther into the future, I hope to get my MBA. I was a teacher at UrbanPromise Wilmington last summer where I taught Bible for 6 weeks, 4 days a week, to over 70 kids. I led the 5th and 6th grade group at the Foursquare Convention in Los Angeles last year. Next year I will be serving in the role of an on-campus Resident Adviser, leading a small group of guys.

I can provide energy and life to a church. I love the Lord with passion and everything I do is with reckless abandon. I am wonderful with kids of all ages and I have a gift for teaching.

A.M. — Children's, Youth & Associate Pastor

When thinking short-term, I can truly say that I have a heart to do anything in the church. Growing up in the church I was exposed to every area of ministry whether that was me being a part of the youth or children’s ministries or whether that was helping out with missions teams and ushering. As for long term I hope to be in the missions field, bridging the gap between cultures. I know God is preparing me for the missions field even now, so the experiences I gain now will help me attain that passion of mine.

I would need housing, some type of payment depending on if I will be able to have a second job with the position. I would like for the position that I step into not to have a time frame, but would be flexible with me, allowing God to move me or keep me there. I would like for the church to give me the opportunity to become licensed through Foursquare as well.

I have received my AA degree in General Studies with a Biblical emphasis. I am also currently in my junior year here at Ignite working on my BA degree in Ministry and Leadership through LPC—Ignite. At my home church,  I was working in the youth ministry, children’s ministry, dance and drama ministry and I helped out in the missions department. With Ignite, I have had the privilege of being a part of a small worship team, children’s ministry, youth ministry, hospitality, small group leader, administration and usher/greeting. Being at Ignite, the one thing that has been ingrained in me is to be flexible and to serve where there is a need.

C. S. — Youth Pastor, Small Group Leader, Non-traditional Ministries

I am interested in working with youth, young adult ministries, and the development of young leaders. I also have a passion for working in small groups, Bible studies, and non-traditional ministry. Long term, I would like to be a counselor, specifically in the area of young adult marriage.

I am looking for a part time position, around 20 hours a week. This will allow me to have another job as well. If the church could provide a stipend, that would be great. If not, perhaps help with housing or food. I would like to have a yearlong commitment then be able to reevaluate after that initial year. While I am there, I would also like to be licensed through Foursquare.

I am currently working on my AA in General Studies here at LPC—Ignite and will graduate at the end of this semester. Then I am planning to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Social Work online through Liberty University beginning this summer. I have interned at Refuge West Church in Marietta, GA for two years and worked with many of their ministries. I have directed a young adults service for a year and a half in Inverness, FL at Real Life Fellowship. I have been involved in several international ministries through mission trips and living in Rwanda, Africa while attending high school during the time my family were missionaries there.

B.Y. — Missions & Associate Pastor

Interests & passions

My biggest passion is for overseas missions and outreach. I also have a passion for Biblical education, teaching, and discipleship. I am skilled in and enjoy administration work and am looking to continue my training in that position as well. Mostly, I am looking for a position in the church that will continue to stretch me in my abilities and my training. I am willing to serve in most areas of ministry and am willing to learn whatever is necessary for those positions.

I am looking for a paid, part-time or full time position at a church. If it is a part-time position, I will need the freedom and opportunity to find a secondary part-time job. I am looking to pursue missionary training and opportunities to serve outside of the country, so I will need freedom in my schedule to pursue those opportunities that God brings me. I am looking to be licensed as a Foursquare minister in my next ministry position.

I have graduated from the Ignite Program with my Associate’s Degree in General Studies, and also have graduated from Life Pacific College with my Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and Leadership. At LPC-Ignite, I have served as a Resident Advisor, Ministry Leader, Missions Team Leader, and an intern in the Ignite Offices, doing administration, coordinating events, and planning mission trips. I have experience in dramatic arts and the audio/visual aspects of worship ministry. I am currently interning in Nicaragua this summer, working with a church down here, assisting the pastors, working with Compassion International, helping receive short term teams, and planning events for the church. I am in the process of learning Spanish as well.
